built as one of two PO-1WL (WV-1), essentially prototypes of the
later Super Constellation based WV-2's. Delivered to the U.S. Navy
on April 5, 1950 with Bu.No. 124437. Withdrawn from use and stored
at Litchfield Park in October 1957. In February 1958 bought by Civil
Aeronautics Administration (CAA) (renamed 1958 Federal Aeronautics
Administration, FAA, and 1959 Federal Aviation Agency) and
registered N7623C. Surveillance equipment removed and converted for
use as a "calibration" aircraft. On June 4, 1958 c/n 2612
reregistered N119. In 1966 transferred to U.S. Air Force and
reregistered N1192. In the same year withdrawn from use and stored
at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. Finally broken up in 1969. Original
by Manfred Jahn & Co (Team 749). Repainted by Hans Hermann, Virtual
Birds Factory. |

resolution or more. Designed by Ing. Giovanni Casiraghi, the Piaggio
P-108B was an Italian four-engined heavy bomber used by the Regia
Aeronautica during World War II. A prototype of this aircraft first flew
in 1939 and it entered service in 1942. This model reproduces the
aircraft on which Capt. Bruno Mussolini lost his life during a test

This repaint represents a CL-13 Mk. 2 aircraft of 413 "Tusker" Squadron, RCAF.
Formed at Stranraer, Scotland, on 1 July 1941, 413 Squadron was the RCAF's third
coastal and first flying boat (General Reconnaissance) squadron created overseas.
On 1 August 1951, 413 Squadron reformed in Bagotville, Quebec. Training began on
Vampire jets, which were replaced by Sabres a few months later. After a year of
training, and a tour of Eastern Canada to show off the new jets, the squadron
was posted to Zweibruchen, Germany in April 1953. 413 Squadron remained a part
of Canada's European NATO commitment for the next four years. May 1st, 1957 saw
the disbandment of the unit in Europe and its reformation in Bagotville as an
All Weather Fighter Squadron.Repaint of SectionF8's superb F86E/F Sabre by Grant
